Inspired by the "Make Do and Mend" movement in Great Britain during World War II, this project was inspired by vintage American war propaganda, serving as a commentary on modern consumerism. Constructed out of plastic target tote bags collected throughout the year, the silhouette of this dress was directly inspired by Marilyn Monroe's potato sack photoshoot.
